Support Our Minority Recruitment and Retention Initiatives at the Jackson School of Geosciences
Building pipelines to the Jackson School
Help Jackson School scientists build relationships with minority-serving institutions, such as a historically black colleges, in order to promote the Jackson School and the geosciences as a whole as well as build pipelines for future students.
Boost the number of minority students in our graduate application pool by supporting visits for minority applicants during the Jackson School Prospective Student Weekend and by helping us to build recruitment fellowships for minority graduate students and postdocs.
Support the retention of minority graduate students enrolled at the Jackson School through ongoing GEN activities and retention fellowships that provide paid summer-long research experience. Help current Jackson School students and faculty to travel to meetings focused on issues of diversity in the geosciences.
